Film #32: FROZEN (2013)

This film was truly awesome, I love Disney but this was so much more. The plot was simple to follow, which is always good for a children's film but it still had a wonderful plot twist to it that I wasn't expecting. The songs and singers were both amazing also! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD and to watch it again repeatedly!

Film #29: THE RISE OF THE GUARDIANS (2012)

Another child's animation film, I know I'm slightly obsessed with them but they're awesome! This was surprisingly good with more good animation. The storyline was a little dry at times but towards the end it really picked up. It also contained the wonderful voices of Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman and Jude Law.
I really liked this film and would watch it again.

Film #28: MONSTER'S UNIVERSITY (2013)

I had high hopes for this film as the first was so good but was slightly disappointed in some ways as nothing could beat the first film. But it was still a good film and I would happily watch it again it was full of laughs and unexpectingly adorable characters like Squishy. Although I felt in some ways that this film was too childish there were moments where it just became completely unbelievable even for a Disney film, it was too colourful and jolly for most of the time. My favourite Disney/Disney Pixar films are those with dark moments in too such as the Lion King  with evil Scar and Toy Story when in Sid's room. But I suppose I would think like that as a 17 year old watching a Disney Pixar film.
The animation on the film was amazing though I was stund by the amount of detail out into the mise en scene such as the fur on the monsters.
It was a good film but you can't beat the original Monsters Inc!

Film #27: THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN (2012)

This film was alright, I wasn't amazed by it but I wasn't disappointed by it either. It was simple and family friendly and acted very well. But it's one of those stories that is so fantasy right from the start that there becomes a large gap between being the greatest film ever and being ok. The film was good and a nice story line but I won't be rushing to watch it again any time soon.

Film #26: THE HUNGER GAMES (2012)

This film was phenomenal! I mean talk about the ideal post-modernism film to watch and analysis! Jennifer Lawrence was so good, she was so suited for this role as she is both pretty but ordinary so was ideal for being the normal person that could have possibly been picked but then in the end volunteered herself but that's besides the point.
I honestly have waited too long to watch this film and should have done it way before now. I can't wait to watch the second one!

Film #25: FIGHT CLUB (1999)

This film was really strange, I honestly don't know what to say about it except that it was bizarre! However it also contained on of the biggest plot twists I've ever experienced in my life that I definitely wasn't excepting. The story is based around the life of  the narrator (Edward Norton) and his relationship with Tyler (Brad Pitt). And from the name of the film suggests, they start a fight club as a way to vent their anger for everyday life and things spiral beyond belief.
I honestly don't know if I enjoyed the film or not, it was well filmed but took me by surprise so I don't feel comfortable with it.

Film #24: ERIN BROCKOVICH (2000)

This film was really good, Julia Roberts as Erin was perfect she was able to completely show a strong independent women completely and looked soft in her comfort zone with the part. The film which was based on a true story is fascinating to watch a really working mother try and balance all aspects of her life and to keep her children happy and entertained but also to keep her first proper job and pay off her bills. This will be a short opinion but I really liked the film and thought Julia Roberts was great in it!

Film #23: PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER (2012)

This was a beautiful film, it was so unique and really celebrated the underdog of life but not in a cliche way of presenting every stereotype under the sun but by expressing the awesome things that life has given us like music and freedom!
The film was elegantly shot and I was very impressed with all acting. At times I thought Emma Watson's American accent got a bit over the top but who cares she's Emma Watson!
This is short but sweet as it was a good film and I would love to watch it again right now :)

Film #22: WHEN HARRY MET SALLY (1989)

This film is the classic romcom film that most are based around. However despite it's reputation I didn't find it that enjoyable. It was too predictable from the instant you could figure out the ending and so it made it pointless to watch as the end was inevitable. I don't think I would watch it again if I had the choice, it was classic cheese so go for it if that's your choice but I don't like that kind of film. Hence the small review on it.
