Film #34: CASTAWAY (2000)

This was a beautiful film that was amazing to watch. Of course it was though, any film that Tom Hanks does is awesome and always really good. The film is based around Hanks' character being cast away (hence the title) after his plane crashed, he's then left alone on a deserted island and battles to get home. However he finds some washed up packages that drift ashore from the crash and in one of the packages contains a Wilson ball which he then starts talking to and goes a little bit mad from having no company and from living in horrible conditions for almost a year before he devises a plan to go home. I honestly loved this film, Hanks' emotions were completely felt by the audience it was a truly mesmerizing performance!
