Film #139: GOOD MORNING VIETNAM (1987)

This was an absolutely stunning film. I honestly cannot believe I have never seen this film before. Robin Williams (RIP) was phenomenal and completely moved the films direction. He was able to make it a comedy then a drama then a heart warming film that made you fuzzy inside. The film follows Williams' character going to Vietnam to host a radio show for all the people serving in the army. He is used to uplift their spirits with his comedy and talented voice. But the longer he stays the more involved he becomes in everything surrounding him.
This has to be my favourite Robin Williams film now, except Aladdin of course. Everyone should watch this film at least ten times in their lifetime. Gooooood Morning Vietnam!!!!
