Film #149: GRAVITY (2013)

I know there was a lot of excitement around this film but I didn't enjoy it that much. It was just one narrative repeated over and over and over again of matter flying through space and destroying the station that Sandra Bullock and George Clooney needed in order to survive. The visual affects were great but it had series conventional gender roles of Sandra Bullock being a damsel in distress who needed a strong man to save her. Seriously her character was so whinny and panicky and then they had George Clooney acting as if that sort of thing happens every day.
